Clock and secret, swift and mad
ticks and tickles hand in hand.
Forth it moves, on slow reverse
its little numbers do perverse.
Unstoppable it moves on wheels
stomp and step on toe and heel.
Forever giving your dearest lives
pray and hope for just more time.
Plights won't reach and turn commands
tick and tocking marching bands.
Can't we have just one more day
one more second, one more stay.
Whatever it is your ticking says
it still won't help our lives' delay.
Clocks and secrets, wrist and palm
sweeping gently out our calm.
Protecting hands on glassy dress
aches my heart, and hurts distress.
As the world spins around the sun
"Thomas, will you please give me the map! I don't think we're on the right track." said Johann. Thomas took a map from his backpack and handed it to him. "Look Johann, we ain't lost. The guide said to follow this trail and it will lead us to the top of the mountain. We just have to keep walking."
"Keep walking? We've been walking for 4 hours now without getting nowhere. And this trail doesn't feel like its going up... in fact, it's been flat for the last hour." There was a silence between them, in which Johann was trying to calculate where they were using the map. "Look, lets just wait for Otto to return, and we'll go back." said Thomas, an
In the middle of the night, on the river's bank
was a little black stone with the happiest heart.
She was happy and merry and she sang and sang
"Ain't life just wonderful, ain't life just grand!"
While singing and laughing and hopping around
she heard the most wonderful and precious of sounds.
A little kid's laughter that came from the night
rang on the stone's ears and gave her a fright.
"Hello Mrs. Stone, well how do you do?"
said the cute little boy with ash on his shoe.
"I'm just fine and dandy, little boy, how 'bout you?
what brings you here at this hour? At the edge of the woods?"
The boy looked around and gave out a smile
Out on the driveway was a lonely gray couch
he looked out at the highway with a feeling of doubt.
"I'm old, lonely and gray" said the couch in a sad way.
"People never look at me, they always look away.
I wonder what I can do to make people want to stay."
So he sat there on the driveway, thinking out loud
Thinking how to make attractive a lonely gray couch.
From the other side of the highway and out of the woods
came a little white boy, with a bug on his shoe.
He then crossed the highway with the greatest of care
and when the couch saw him, he sat there and stared.
The boy kept on walking without turning his sight
then the couch w

The sun rises, bringing forth a new day.
A rooster sings his song at the sight if the first rays.
The flowers wake up, releasing pollen into the air
and the bees feed from the flowers, then go to their hives and lay eggs.
Then the caterpillar eats the hive to store energy and lay
so quiet and so still, for change is in the air.
In the perfect balance, a boy entered the woods
with blue eyes, and blond hair, and dirt on his shoes.
The boy looked around with great awe and wonder
"What drives this great balance?" the boy was left to ponder.
The flowers and the bees and the caterpillar all stopped
and the rooster turned around, and d
